Agrofert Deutschland GmbH deals in fertilizers and markets agricultural products as well as AdBlue, the NOx reduction agent. The completely modernized company head-quarters are located in Bischofswerda, with further six warehouses being operated in Saxony and further business premises being situated in Lutherstadt Wittenberg. 

The agri merchant's plants at its 25,000 m² Leuna location, where innovative liquid fertilizer is produced, have been expanded since May 2013. 14,000 l of liquid products can be intermediately stored in the modern tank farm and another 1,000 t of solids in bulk goods containers.

Innospec Leuna GmbH operates a modernized high-pressure polymerisation plant for the production of special products on the basis of ethylene: EVA, PE-waxes and diesel additives. The company was privatized in 1997 at the chemical site of Leuna and integrated into the Innospec-group in 2004. The company achieves a turnover of about Euro 34m and has 95 employees.

The LCP Leuna Carboxylation Plant GmbH continues the longtime tradition of the Leuna-Werke in the production and sales of Hydroxybenzoicacids. The carboxylation plant was acquired by the Japanese Polyplastics Co., Ltd. in September 2012.


In October 2005 the production of para-Hydroxybenzoicacid (p-HBA) started, which is a basic for manufacturing of cosmetic products an liquid crystal polymers. A further product of LCP GmbH is technical pure Potassium Sulphate > 99,8 % which is used in technical applications with high requirements in quality.

The world’s largest gas center of Linde AG produces hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, CO, CO2, special gases such as argon, and other inert gases and gas mixtures in various distribution forms such as pipelines, trailers and bottles to both clients at the Leuna site and the center of Germany. The aim of our company is to expand the existing product lines and to develop new sulphur products. 

Since 17th August 2010 we are acting as approved disposer for sulphide-containing waste.

With the TOTAL Raffinerie Mitteldeutschland GmbH, one of the most modern refineries in Europe was erected at the Leuna site. Mineral oil products have been manufactured in the new refinery since 1997. The refinery in Leuna is able to turn about 12 mill. tonnes of crude oil, mainly coming from Russia, into fuels, heating oil, liquid gas, bitumen, naphtha and methanol.

The WEPA Leuna GmbH is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the WEPA-group headquartered in Westphalian Arnsberg. 200 employees produce toilet papers and cloths for the food retailing.
